As I worked to improve my familiarity with Adobe Suit, I realised I have never attempted animating from scratch. By that I mean making something and then animating it all by myself. It's always been a separate processes for me, so I decided to explore out of my comfort zone.
The entire creative process is documented in Blog 6.
The final outcome comes with a few mistakes, but I learned alot about the practical aspects of making this. I had expected to take much less time on this and got pretty frustrated due to my mistakes throughout the process. I learned to pace myself better throughout my working process, whether it be design or just thinking.
The first draft ended up looking much sketchier and rougher than I intended. I liked the organic look of the lines, but it looked very different from the image I had in mind, so I had to tweak it.
The inital sketches were done by looking at many tulips, carving our their vague shapes in highlighter and tracing over it.
